did crazyalot of sitting this month!!! pax SIN-Moscow, Houston-Moscow, Moscow-SIN, SIN-Auckland.... Zurich-SIN. the last one unscheduled. SWINE FLU SCARE. ok not really, no runniness and sore throat. just a dizzily high fever 39.4 :( felt terrible to make the rest work extra hard to cover my duties, somemore the ifss and lss (best ever!) pampered me in First Class..... shiokness! thanks Sunny for the panadols again!

and sorry to miss the 'old blind mice people' dinner!!! 

July is my most hectic month to date..... and it's not like i'm doing consecutive lousy turns. roster was decent ok! just that many people needed offs for their important events, i ended up working back-to-back w minimal rest. 5 off days this month, I NEED A BREAK I NEED A KITKAT. serious, i haven't had chocolates since forever.

 
many familiar faces at Moscow's lobby. the nice leading couple, my JCL SNY gs, sunny, shuzhen, NING!!!!!!!!!! then at Houston, stocked up on the usual, Bath&Bodyworks + Victoria's Secret. IHOP & Cheesecake Factory meals....

 
bought a new ++++-sized cargo bag. sent the old one for repair.
Harry Potter.
convinced that Mustafa Cafe's milo/cream is the best.
went through a 3-day phase where i felt my nose was huge, HAHAH

you know what, the time has come. for holiday!!!!!

ohhh ya the funniest thing today. standby (lucky never sell away, bleah crazy market rate!) called up for the 1st flight of the day (550am rpt Jakarta).. and just nice, this CGK is linked with tomorrow's Zurich. so, today i work with them, tomorrow they serve me HOHO...

the process of holiday planning is a pain! hopefully we check-in smoothly and parents don't get offloaded if there's a crazysudden surge of pax. very doubtful.

yay! another Middle Eastern 4-sector down... ok so i'm left with Dubai-Istanbul to complete my chicken tikka+naan stations :S 



upon touchdown at noon, went home and immediately checked roster. whaaaaaaat, after a year without States, they gave me 2 Moscow-Houstons in back-to-back rosters! and this time is pax-work-pax-pax, i can finish all the Krisworld movies! then i diligently monitored COF hahah and now i have:

moscow-houston
jakarta
zurich
auckland

......then my 8D7N Zurich holiday!!!! cant wait cant wait! so much time and headache to book tickets and plan our itinerary, but at least accomodation's at aunt Pauline's. 'm bummer, didn't manage to get onto any of baby's flights... i give up! 


Went down to Orchard for dinner with my VRIN girls and J boys. 100% attendance! but most of the other-halfs couldn't make it. josh brought his gf to meet us.... as usual, the guys talked army stuff and we talked holidays. but later we got crabby (ok not really, but i was drained being up for 20hrs straight) when the boys bid farewell without a proper catch-up with us... dragged them in search for somewhere with a 'round table' so everyone can sit and talk. we must try to do this every 2 months at least ok?????????



oh yes, it's official. i'm moving house!!!!!!! hate to say it but i'm kinda bored in my current place, 21 years is too permanent! but i'll definitely miss the convenience and peace at Ang Mo Kio. so, i'll be relocating to my sis's at Sembawang for 1yr+ till our new apartment in the East is up......


the taxi ash was in got into a minor accident on the highway, i was so not in the mood for a show, but despite making a din and throwing a bitchbabyfit, he still insisted that we had to watch this kiddy movie, cos i'm so a kiddo and i'd love it. hahahhahaa okok fine u win.. but helllllllloooo, who's the one going 'insectosaurus!!' on the phone? huhhhh????

3-D's amazing!!! they should do ALL movies in 3-D.


FOR ONCE (after like 20 movies, or since our first movie together), ash's persistance in staying till the theatre is litted, paid off! people streaming out at the end backtracked to catch the post-credits clip. so don't miss it!




i'm on 4 days annual leave now. doing 4 hours of driving lessons every afternoon..... i take back what i said about not liking to drive. i'd loooooove to open my moonroof and zoom under the starry night at 60km/h (HAHA lousy! but that's my speediest so far ok?!) whilst blasting my 93.3FM. (stop trying to convert me to your angmoh alternative stuff already beeeeeeeeeeeee! nothing beats my gary cao!)

cleared out my room. re-discovered my 'box of memories'.
had a good laugh over the dumbest things we used to do.

called up for bangalore on w@ves. refused to acknowledge.
morning itself, The Call came. no choice, lucky all went well!

bought Skype credits to call baby in Dubai.
(1st time using MY own card. perks of turning 21!)

napped on&off from 9am-7pm. dreamt alot of stuff, even remembered some!

sew shut the lobang in Fernando's (Barcelona bull) arm. 

had mum's HOME-COOKED dinner. then lovingly brewed herbal soup.

jumping back into bed with my stack of Archies.

after what seemed like a FOREVER (a record 2 weeks!!!) separation, we were finally back home together. drove down to town for a good lunch, buy essentials (Zara's for him, Watson's for her :/), and dapao Lucky Plaza's ayam penyet for my folks.

we had bad encounters with creepy crawlies in the span of an hour..... a huge plump lizard was squashed flat & dry (with neck broken, really!) at the edge of my car door! and a buzzing flying beetle was playing hide&seek with us in my room. we trapped it in a plastic bag eventually and it had clawy legs!

 
oh ya! i had my first practical driving session this morning.... was fun getting a feel of the car crawling along at 10-20km/hr. but going up to 30km/hr i freaked out a little. i mounted the kerb a couple times while turning and almost kissed the front car when i fumbled for the wrong pedal LOL. first timers should be forgiven! like SNY lor hahaha. somehow i'm not very into driving myself, would rather be driven around..................... but who knows? got car as well use. hopefully complete it before SSDC moves to Woodlands... but flt roster and practical slots very hard to coordinate!!


:( guess what. ash is going off again already! to Dubai till Monday, and i'm going AbuDhabi on Tuesday!!! irritatttttttting...... dad was just telling me, for June i only have 9 working days!?! like those with sucky rosters say, eat grass loh!

i miss the Acropolis, but not the islands. hahaha and i'll still give it away if i get rostered a 3rd time. gimme a Manchester/Rome/5D Beijing/States/Zurich next month pretty please!!!!!

THE 0100hrs SURPRISE
i can't believe this!?? ...after a year???

back then he had this crazy impulses to deliver chicken rice from katong to amk in the middle of the night (he sees my usual type of meals as communist food) and i had to violently object each time.

tonight, just after i applied my nose 'pore glue' and was gonna get ready for bed, he had to reappear at my door. armed with mcwings meal (skipped dinner just now), my Watson's stuff that i left in his Zara carrier, bubble gum (from amsterdam?), his fav mini Crunchie, and very funnily, dirhams! we sometimes share leftover currencies, but isn't he the one going Dubai TOMORROW MORNING?????? and now he's going Mustafa to change more dirhams for his own use haha!

gaaaaaaaawd this baby. lub you!!

it's been a year since i kept away my poly stuff..... everything from our year 1-3 notes/lab/quizes/projects to lapcoats! about time to.... wouldn't make sense moving the piles from house to house. but i never expected this day to come so soon, for this marks The End of my nutrition studies. never been into food science but i honestly felt something for human nutrition....... maybe being sent to that SIP company made me give up hope for that career path. the market just seemed too small, and the work pulled at my heartstrings sometimes. i'd never survive in a nursing home/hospital! plus, getting a dietetics degree abroad was out of the question.

anyway! in a mere 1 year, i realised my brain cells have diminished by.... shocking clusters! even practising MCQ questions for SEP also can panic.. those were the days when we'd


rewrite our hundreds of powerpoint slides into coloured notes!

memorise those impossible cycles for PBPN... glycolysis, ADP->ATP, pyruvate, acetyl-coA

fuss over my milk culture like a baby, slowly curdling into yogurt

mash and mould food into mushy shapes for soft-diet patients

plan 3-day menus for patients of all possible diseases

calculate down to MILIGRAMS, content of certain nutrients in a meal

operate in a factory line to cook for 30 people & sell the extras to lecturers

tweak chocolate cake recipes to replace eggs with TOFU

experiment all methods to make the best crunchy & lasting apple chips

swab door knobs, sink counters, dustbin cover for microbial samples

use clay/paint to make a model replica of our sweet potato & oat scones

randomly survey our neighbourhood 'aunties' for their calcium intake

online group project discussions at all hours with teammates in China/after fastfood shift

be yelled at by OBC lecturer (Ong Siao Siao!) for sitting in the wrong LT

food chemistry lab exam: change colour of lettuce to red. mine ended up blue!

'collect' pee samples every hour to test for glucose :S

i miss poly!!! can't believe how few of us are continuing to the next level.......

i managed to give away some materials to people who appreciate and would make good use of them :) but i couldn't resist keeping a few favourite modules for myself... not much. just a sack :D for reading pleasures, and if i someday have a toddler to care for or hypertension (CHOY!).
